Kerry specialises in preparing children for the English component of their 11+ and/or secondary school entrance exams. She also supports GCSE students in English Literature and Language, helping them to improve thier approach. Driven by an empathetic ethos, Kerry creates tailored resources to help students overcome learning hiccups and gain more confidence in their approach.

Many 11+ students struggle with vocabulary and inference skills. Kerry encourages students to read widely, but she knows time is short and believes kids need time to be kids. Kerry combats this by offering a wide range of genres and text types to improve comprehension efficiently. With a background as an actor, Kerry uses communication skills to nurture creative writing and expression. She also uses various media to help students crack the code of comprehension. With GCSEs, Kerry helps with the frustrating element of 'tick box' examining, helping students to hit their assessment objectives whilst still encouraging them to be independent thinkers.
